Being a Blessing

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act." (Proverbs 3:27)  

Being a blessing, or showing kindness, is not merely an idea but a practical and meaningful action that each of us can carry out. God gives us resources, talents, and influence not for us to keep solely for ourselves, but so that we can share these gifts with others as channels of His grace. We are called to use what has been entrusted to us to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us. .

Jesus affirms this in Matthew 10:8, “Freely you have received; freely give.” Whether it is spiritual gifts, material possessions or positions of influence, we are encouraged to be a blessing whenever we have the opportunity. The Message Bible powerfully reminds us: “Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God's hand for that person.”
