2025 YEAR OF AWAKENING

Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
~ Psalms  57:8-11 ~

This week's message...

Kaamatan &
Gawai Festivals

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9-10)

As we celebrate Kaamatan and Gawai Festivals, we are reminded of the beauty and diversity of God’s creation. These festivals celebrate the harvest and the heritage of the peoples of Sabah and Sarawak, and they are a time for thanksgiving and joy.

In Revelation, we catch a glimpse of heaven where every nation, tribe, people, and language stand together before the Lord. It is a vision of unity - a tapestry woven from countless people groups worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ – the Lamb of God on the throne. The palm branches, the white robes, and the loud praises tell us that our identities are cherished and transformed in God’s presence.
