The 6th Bishop of the Diocese of West Malaysia

On 6 February 2026, the Diocese of West Malaysia installed the Right Reverend Dr. Stephen Soe Chee Cheng as the 6th Diocesan Bishop in a ceremony held at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Kuala Lumpur. 

Bishop Dr. Stephen Soe, formerly based at St. George’s Pro-Cathedral in George Town, Penang and in charge of the Northern Peninsular area, now becomes the spiritual head of the Anglican Church throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
